Intro
My goal is to create the same atmosphere as the old world craftsman's shop, but have it here, on the net. The
kind of place where you can take your time and really get what you want, made just for you, and not settle for
something close, out of a display case.
Personal involvement -
YOU are an integral part of my work. Once you have something in mind, you become
co-designer of your jewelry. You can change the stone, or its shape or size, or the number of stones. You have the freedom to combine
aspects of more than one item into your piece, or send me a clipping from a catalog or similar source.
Please note: I will not directly copy another's work - not only is it illegal, but it's unethical too!! Clippings will serve only as a
starting place, to show a particular style, from there we will create something unique, just for you. Whatever you
want it to look like, is what will be done!!
Minimal inventory of finished pieces -
Most of my work is done for a specific customer. I've found it easier to make a piece one time, exactly as the
customer wants it, than to take something out of a display case and end up remaking it anyway!!
Low overhead, to keep prices as low as possible -
I work alone in a well equipped shop attached to my home. I hand make many of my own parts, as well as use
the same suppliers as do many of the 'mall' stores for other components and ready to set mountings and even
ready to wear items. I try not to do anything that adds to the cost of doing business - for example, I don't accept
credit cards because of the added processing and monthly fees.
Pride and craftsmanship -
Absolutely nothing leaves here that I wouldn't be proud to give as a gift to a special friend! I stand behind my
work, all ways.
Visits -
If you'd like to look over my shoulder while I build your piece, you need only to make an appointment. I enjoy
talking to people about jewelry and stones, and showing them what I do, but I don't like 'surprises' that mess up
my work schedule.
Phone calls -
Getting me on the phone isn't easy. I need to concentrate and let the work flow to get anything done. If you
need to speak to me on the phone - Please, leave a message - I'll get back to you as soon as I am able. I promise!!
